Zakat and Vow | Charity and Expiation

Project Description
The Zakat project aims to support Rohingya Muslims in Arakan - Myanmar, Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, and those in diaspora countries by providing financial assistance that helps improve their living conditions and alleviate their suffering. The project promotes social solidarity and fulfills the objectives of Zakat in purifying wealth and spreading mercy among people, in accordance with Allah's command: "Take, [O Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase..." Through this project it is also possible to give charity fulfill vows and pay expiations all of which contribute to meeting the needs of the poor and needy.
Zakat al-Mal Threshold
The Zakat threshold is equivalent to 85 grams of pure gold or 595 grams of silver.
Zakat Allocation Categories
The channels of Zakat spending are clearly defined, as Allah Almighty has stated in His noble book: "Zakat expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy, and for those employed to collect [Zakat], and for bringing hearts together [for Islam], and for freeing captives [or slaves], and for those in debt, and for the cause of Allah, and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise."
