Qurbani 1445 AH | Obedience and Giving

Project Description
The Qurbani slaughter project aims to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of Rohingya Muslims in Arakan - Myanmar, refugee camps in Bangladesh and diaspora communities. This project contributes to enabling them to perform the Qurbani ritual and meet part of their humanitarian needs. It is an act of worship commanded by Allah in His saying: "So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]" and the Prophet ﷺ said: "No act is more beloved to Allah on the Day of Sacrifice than shedding blood." The project also strengthens social solidarity and enhances human and social ties by sharing the joy of Eid with those in need.
Slaughtering Qurbani animals and distributing their meat to the poor and deserving individuals during Eid al-Adha is one of the great acts of worship in Islam and a significant ritual commanded by Allah. Allah says in His Quran Karim : "Indeed, We have granted you Al-Kawthar. So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]." The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also said: "No act is more beloved to Allah on the Day of Sacrifice than shedding blood..." Allah has prescribed Qurbani as an act of devotion to draw closer to Him, in obedience to His command and as an expression of gratitude for His blessings. It is also a form of charity for the poor and needy bringing joy and happiness to their hearts, spreading mercy and solidarity among Muslims, providing abundance for oneself, family, and neighbors, and reviving the Sunnah of His prophets Ibrahim and Muhammad (peace be upon them) by following their example.
